'Windows 7 Release Candidate 1' - First Impressions

Outstanding! I mean, this thing is just down-right impressive! This being my first Release Candidate to evaluate (ever), burning an ISO for the first time went off without a hitch. I very highly recommend any tech enthusiast who is familiar with the 'Windows' Operating System to get their hands on this. As for installations of Operating Systems in the past (for me) goes, they each took between 1 to 2 1/2 hours. However, this little puppy took a whopping 30 minutes (I shit you not). Installation was so easy, I think that a 3rd grader could do it. So far, I love everything about this thing, and I'm extremely satisfied that it's (supposedly) gonna last until June of 2010. Well, I'll spare all the juicy details for my complete review in the next coming weeks/months. Meanwhile, download your 100% free copy of the 'Windows 7 RC1' today.

* Tip * - When attempting to do a clean install and the software can't detect your hard drive, check your jumper settings (Warning: Do not attempt to change the jumpers while the computer is turned on and plugged-in.)

'Windows 7 Release Candidate 1' now available (through June 2010!)

This morning I went to work and downloaded the 'Windows 7 Release Candidate 1', well knowing that 'Comcast' (my ISP) caps and throttles-down my Internet at the house. Needless to say, with the T1-ish Internet connection I have at my workplace, I was able to download the entire 2.35GB in a little under 20 minutes! Impressive! Now, I have not installed this on any of my machines, yet. But when I do, be sure to check-back here for my review of this RC. In the meantime, jump on the bandwagon and download your 100% free copy of the 'Windows 7 RC1' today.
